Alexandre Zongo began in men’s couture. Later turning to women’s couture, Alexandre realized that feminine clothing gave him the liberty to unleash free rein on his creativity. After having proven his couture mastery in Africa and refusing to settle, Alexandre decided to expand his horizons, moving to Paris in 1985 and serving as an assistant to Chris Seydou- the first African designer to be awarded the French gold dice.
