If you are already familiar with the New Soul Food food truck, it’s now time to drop your bags off at the Maquis. The Laine brothers certainly did not lack in imagination when creating this place, not only did they successfully transfer “street food” cuisine to plates, but also the atmosphere!
When Rudy is not behind the counter taking orders, he is in the room, with you, livening up the room and encouraging you to dance along to trending Afro-beats
Though the restaurant already offers a large selection of dishes, the once ephemeral dishes of the food trucks are now available à la carte- like the famed Mbongo shrimp (spicy sauce with roasted bark from Cameroon).
There’s also something new in the dining room with this extraordinary selection of arranged rums to make and enjoy at home. Dozens of small bottles sit on the walls of the restaurant with a multitude of ingredients. What a great idea!
A little story about New Soul Food
It was a passion for “Afro” cooking and baking that brought three brothers together.Photos
