Imane Ayissi is a Franco-Cameroonian stylist whose career has spanned more than 20 years. A former model for some of the biggest luxury houses (Dior, Lanvin, YSL, Valentino, Givenchy, Cardin, Montana…), Imane Ayissi imbues a chic and voluptuous style, and certainly an ode to Africa. Across his creations, Imane Ayissi valorizes dying-out African languages, like Ewondo, his maternal language in Cameroon. African fabric is also incorporated into designs, not wax but rather woven cloth, bazin, and dyed textiles sourced from Africa. This creator highlights the importance of valuing traditional and cultural practices, such as the practice of natural tinting using cocoa- a tradition often neglect
